This location is now a large Winn-Dixie and across the street they are building condos,by the Miami River,going for over $250,000 each.
A great place to live, near the Dade County Jail!

On the right is a satellite view from Google Earth of the Miami Police Department, 400 N.W. 2 Ave.  On the top near the center if you can zoom in (or use Google Earth online) you can actually see the helicopter pad markings (upside down - "MIAMI POLICE CENTRAL" and the prisoner processing ramp (not sure if that's what they still call it).  You might even be able to see a yellow pickup truck parked there.  Remember when it was a violation of dept. orders to park personal vehicles there!
